Sleep Training Services for babies + children

sleep training services

Offering sleep support, sleep training, postpartum and postnatal services for infants, toddlers and young children.

“The concept of sleep training being used as a way of making your baby sleep is very misleading. The idea is to make every aspect of bed time more welcoming, less stressful and genuinely positive. In many ways sleep training is more about making your baby happy and content about bedtime routines and independent falling asleep.”

What is sleep training and why consider it for your child?

Welcome, my name is Izaebla “Isa” Kowalsky, owner of Touch of Sleep. I have worked with many families and children for 20+ years. Sleep training is a guided process designed to help your child improve the quality of their sleep as well as help with many common sleep issues that can arise during the first few years of your child's life.

I strongly believe in evidence based, non medical, emotionally supportive sleep solutions that are personalized specifically towards your baby’s needs.

Sleep is a most basic and essential need for everyone, just like with the lack of water and food, we literally can not survive without it, and yet so many of us give up on the quality of good night sleep.

You may be struggling with any of the common sleep problems such as:

  • short (cat) naps

  • nap refusal

  • colic

  • wichin hours

  • early morning wake ups

  • difficulty going to sleep or staying asleep

  • frequent night wake ups

  • nap transitioning

  • trouble sleeping through the night

  • struggle with independent sleep

  • sleep regressions

  • toddlers who refuse to sleep

If you feel any of the above apply to your current situation, I encourage you to reach out so we can discuss your needs and the best approach to start getting your child and family some quality sleep.

Quality sleep

Fundamentally important to your child’s well-being and development.

Sleep is a biological necessity and getting consistent high-quality sleep is essential for both physical and mental health. Sleep strengthens the immune system, regulates appetite, contributes to healthy brain function, and supports growth, among many other benefits.

Sleep training is different for every family, some children are naturally prone to sleep and might need only small adjustments while others might need a more specific, laborious approach. I work closely with each family to make sure that the sleep approach and all the adjustments are done within every parents comfort zone.

This involves building age-appropriate daytime and nighttime routines, introducing appropriate sleep associations, healthy sleeping hygiene and environment as well as many other components needed to establish flourishing sleep patterns.. Sleep training is not a single method, but a variety of techniques and approaches that can be personalized for each family and parenting style. From the Dr.Ferber approach to more gentle approaches there are a number of sleeping techniques that can be used to help establish good sleep.
